two in one

Whoever thought of this - thank you! Making a card, and adding a bookmark that could be removed from the design, how genious is that?  I really should be doing more of those, here's one for starters:

The cardbase, Hero Hues Latte paper, was stamped with the background image from the Tim Holtz Papillon-set. The bookmark itself  was stamped using butterflies & moths from the same set. I used my Distress Markers (Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Shabby Shutters, and Tea Dye) to color the image, then lightly misted with water and Perfect Pearls, before stamping on watercolor paper. Love the effect that gives, so much life and interest to the image when it dries!

That's all for today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh wow, that is absolutely genius! Love your card design and the watercolor butterflies on the bookmark. I may have to make some of these for my bookworm-friends. Thank you for sharing this, Anette!

Hope you have a great week!
