Winter Town

I bought the stamp Winter Town from Hero Arts a while ago, I just LOVED it, but when I was sitting at my craft table, my head just went completely blank...
Inspiration rescue came from two amazing artists: This card by Joy, and this  card by Lin, resulted in this card by me:
I inked up with Distress Ink Dusty Concord, spritzed a few times with water, and stamped on Hero Arts "Snow" paper. The image was cut out, then the top portion distressed with the same ink, and I also added a little bit around the rest of the image, just to define a frame. Added some stickles on the roofs and the snowy ground, and colored some of the windows using a pale yellow colored pencil:
So thanks Joy and Lin, not only for the inspiration for this card, but for being a constant source of inspiration!

I won!

A while back, Joy had a giveaway on her blog, Less is More, (well worth a visit!) and I was the lucky winner of this gorgeous set from Tim Holtz:
And last night I got the chance to play with my new toy:
I started out with the background, and covered it with Memento Markers, then spritzed with a mix of Perfect Pearls and water, and stamped on watercolor paper (top card), spritzed again without adding more color from the markers, and stamped again (bottom card). On the top card I stamped the butterflies and moths with Jet Black StazOn ink on acetate, and on the bottom card I broke out the markers again (LOVE them!!)

Have a great weekend!
