Color pencils - Hero Arts challenge

This is quite rare, but so far I haven't submitted any cards to this month's challenge at the Hero Arts' blog! Well, that is about to end right now, with this card:
I masked off the middle part of a craft notecard, and stamped the Ruffled Flower from Hero Arts (S5482), then colored it with my (or, to be truthful: my daughter's) colored pencils. The idea with the green was to make some of the flower petals into leaves. Not sure I like how it turned out, but I'm not doing it over again! The border is also from Hero Arts, but it's an older stamp, and I've lost the label, so I don't know the name..
Thanks for looking, and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Lily Pad's embossing challenge

Lily Pad cards are having a challenge this week (and next, closes May 26th), to use embossing on your card. Embossing has endless possibilities, and for my card this time I chose emboss resist:
I used som pp from Prima for this card, and stamped Hero Arts Poppy Background (CG140) with Versamark ink, and clear embossed, Then I colored the poppies using Distress Inks Barn Door and Fired Brick, and the stems were colored using Copics. The scalloped border is from the reverse side of the pp.
Thanks for stopping by!

Die-namics

As a part of Kreative Fornemmelser's Design Team we were introduced to Die-namics dies a few weeks back, and I fell in love immediately! They cut like a breeze, and have so many fun and beautiful shapes!
This flower was made using the Faux Crochet Die and Sticky Back Canvas, the grass was made from the "leftovers" after cutting out the border.

On this card I tried the small rolled roses die, using purple felt. The card base is gloss cardstock, Hero Arts' Fabulous Flourish was stamped using Versamark, then covered with Poppy Chalk Ink, and wiped off excess ink.
