The Play Date Cafe, PDCC81

When I first saw the colors of this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge I thought they would be a real challenger, especially purple is a color I don't use much. But the card just came together like a dream, and so here it is:

 

The green panel was stamped with Versamark on gloss cardstock (Hero Arts' set Antique Engravings), the resist effect was created using Chalk Ink "Grass". The purple flowers are my first ever stamps from Purple Onion Designs! I stamped the Cracked Egg - Spring Buquet with Versamark on watercolor paper, the clear embossed. Added Distress Ink Dusty Concord with a sponge, and spritzed with water+Perfect Pearls, cut out the flowers and mounted on the background.

Play Date Cafe Challenge, PDCC80

Phew, just barely made it this week!!!
I finished the card late Friday night, photographed it in a hurry Saturday morning (sorry for the bad quality!) in order to bring it  to a party, forgot the camera at the party Saturday night, got the camera back this evening, so here it is:

I used an "ancient" background stamp from Hero Arts (my first!), and stamped it with Versamark on watercolor paper, then clear embossed. Added Distress inks Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar with a sponge, and spritzed with a mix of water and Perfect Pearls, dried with the heatgun. Cut the wings of the butterfly and liftet them before mounting it to the card base. The green pp is from Prima, and is also shopwing underneath the butterfly wings.

More Design Team projects

Today I am back to share a couple more  Design Team projects I've done for Kreative Fornemmelser.

 On this first one I've stamped Large Solid Flower (CG248) using Distress Stains Wild Honey and Spun Sugar, spritzed with a little bit of water, onto watercolor paper. (the ribbon is also colored using the Wild Honey stain)

The second project is place cards for parties etc:

I discovered that the frame from the Sweet Threads Labels (CL510) set is perfect for the task! So easy to cut out, and mount together in different ways, adding the desired accesories. When making place cards for an event you usually need MANY, so my goal was to keep the simple (quick), yet interesting.

May CCC at the Lily Pad blog

I have participated in Deborah's card chain challenge (CCC) since the very beginning, and it's a wonderful way to get to know stampers from all over the world, AND get a home made card! Win-win, wouldn't you say?

I got a Basic Grey paper pad and a Die-namics scallop border die in the mail yesterday, and was dying to use it! Such yummy, yummy colors!

My first entry for the Play Date Cafe Challenge!

I have seen so many inspiring color combinations over on the Play Date Cafe blog, and so many wonderful entries for these challenges, but for some reason I never got around to entering the challenge myself. Until now!
